Whats the most we can get out of a SVT Focus NA???? Because i have seen alot of people say there is no headers out there better then the stock but everyone who says that says they were told that. They don't know one person who has tried it out to see if its true. Who tried it???? Becausein my eyes if there is a better header get that port and polish. Maybe a before that the little things exhaust, throttle body and CAI should add alot once all of that is on. I'm not the smartest person on the focus but i had a cougar before and we did them things and it added a heckof alot of power. Just looking for answers, Thanks!

Depends how much money you want to spend man. As far as the header, it's a Cosworth designed header and flows better than nearly every one on the market, I have no real proof other than what I've been told (pretty much exatly what you said, LOL) but what I've seen on here and reviews is that it is pretty much the best. The SVT head I believe flows more than the FRPP head. Aftermarket catback will only give you better sound. Hell magnaflow is actually a tad smaller diameter than stock but has slightly better flowing resonators and mufflers. A cat delete (ORP) will on the other hand net you some nice gains, along the lines of like 8 whp. It's the only real bottleneck of the factory exhaust. If you wanted to go custom you could get a 3in catback which I think Tom at Focus Power showed to net some good gains. Throttle body won't get you much other than better throttle response but coupled with other mods like exhaust, intake etc will add more. You can also get some pulley's to free up some power. I think about 170whp is about the max you could see out of an SVT engine without tearing it apart or going F/I which is actually the best way of gaining power.
What I wanted out of the car was a 200+whp daily driver and I went with the Jackson Racing blower for that, sitting at right around 215-220whp and I'm very content. Good luck with your modding [thumb]

I'd have to agree that 170 would be the limit without tearing the engine apart. If you want more, you're probably better off getting a supercharger and calling it a day.
The only power adding mods that are worth it IMO, short of forced induction, would be hi-flow cat and tune. Everything else doesn't really do much... TB, I like it, but it doesn't add much (if any) power. UDP's, not sure if it's worth it having an aftermarket stereo. Cam gear, not worth it for the install - just a pain to get on and installed correctly. Exhaust doesn't add much power.

well i'm talking about doing the whole 9. port, pistons, rods, I wanna get as much NA as I can money doesn't matter. I'm going to Iraq in September so I'll come back with about 15,000 to put in it. I want to try for over 200 whp with the SVT Focus. I think it will be possible just its people rather spend that money on FI instead of NA. but with my Nitrous it will be just as fast if not faster. we will see though, Thanks for the info though!

How much money do you have to spend?

i'M GONNA SPEND AROUND 3 MAYBE 4 THOUSAND TO GET THAT DONE. HAVE TO RAISE THE COMPRESION TO GET MORE POWER OF COURSE.

I'm kicking around doing the same thing. Getting a slight overbore, some custom 11.5:1 pistons, good rods, the head ported and polished with ferrera valves, upgrade the oil pump, and spin her up to about 8,000-8,500 rpm. I think it'd be a really responsive engine and really fun to drive. but then again I might just go turbo and smoke some mofos
