Finished installing the header and ORP after wrapping them with header wrap. I used the silicon spray prep and everything and was real carefull not to get anything on the header that could burn. i baked it to the 400 degrees plus.
i started the car and as i expected they started to smoke a little ...and then a lot[scratch] then they started to get dark and i shot the car of immediatly. It smells like serious burning.
Im wondering what the frick i should do now. Just slowly and carefully try to burn it out. Nothing has gone right for me the last two weeks...please HELP!!![?|]

okay, I did this, and mine smokes WHITE/Grey smoke....my header wrap didn't change colors or anything....are you SURE you used 1500 deg/hi-temp paint for the wrap and not regular spray paint????

The right spray was used. However i was just surveying and i noticed a mist or spray and saw that it was oil. when i looked closer i noticed something that was missing...THE OIL TAP for the dipstick...duuurh. im sure some oil spray all over the header wrap when i started the car and now i guess its burning. Doesnt really add up though because its burning evenly throughout the whole header not just on the spots that the oil would have sprayed.
anyway im trying to slowley but surely burn it out. no matter what cosmeticly the header wrap is ruined. its turning brown. Suppose it will still serve its purpose though.

im guessing the smoke is what is actually dicoloring the whole header. From the first intersections down to the ORP and onward looks perfect. Im so fricken angry at myself for forgetting the fricken dip stick tap. More than a couple hours work is going up in smoke.
BAH!!!
