Ok I have been thinking of getting the new 67mm TB from CFM for a while now but someone told me recently that it isn't as simple as just installing the new TB in place of the old one. I was told you have to dremel out something on the intake manifold??? To make it a larger whole so the throttle wont stick?? Is this true?? DO you really have to dremel out something?? Anyone who has installed there 65mm or 67mm please chime in!!

I have the 67mm TB and I didn't have to change a thing. You can port-match the intake manifold with a dremel, but it's not a requirement.

i noticed a bit of that when I first installed my 65mm, but it soo went away. I did the porting of the stocker and I was able to tell this was better for me.

Port matching the intake manifold really wont make a whole hell of a differance power wise.

although not specific to your postwhich has the advantage performance wise the 65 or 67?

CFM stopped making their 65mm TB in favor of their 67mm version. The price is the same, too. Performance numbers are probably close to negligible, but it doesn't really matter since the only aftermarket TB currently in production is the 67mm version.

What kind of skills are needed to install the TB? I'm hoping to purchase the 67mm in the next month or so.
