So, I have a big problem now. My transaxle is leaking. I noticed first leaks at home and had a ~130 miles trip after that. Then, I went to a service to fill it (because I needed to do 70 miles more). To my surprise after 130miles, when a mechanic opened the fill plug, oil started to run thru it. The car was more or less leveled.
What is a proper oil level?
Can an oil overfill cause leaking problems?
I had my clutch and transaxle oil changed before everything.

yes if you overfill it it will seap out of any of the locations it can. It can be leaking from one of the two axel seals or coming from the bell housing vent holes.

Wow,
Does the 07 5 speeds use a getrag too?
Yes,overfilling will cause the gearoil to aireate, foam up and over flow out of the transaxle, then when the gearoil cools down, the level goes down too.I only have 400 miles on my 07,but i'm really glad to here the transaxle is a "getrag"...Thats the company that makes the getrag for the 97 up vettes (yes the trans is in the rear of these cars),and i put at least 100 passes on my modded 99 vette, and the transaxle was still like in perfect shape when i traded it in at 56,000 miles..

I have over 200miles now. Drove my focus to service where they had changed my clutch. They opened the fill plug and gues what...oil was still going through it. So their recommendation was that I would do ~600miles more and come again to check oil level and all the repairs if needed.
I'm not really sure now what could have caused leaking. It can be an overfill (if you guys say right that it can cause leaking) or a bad seal that they replaced on a clutch throwout bearing.

I wonder if thats just normal clutch break in?As a clutch wears, the fluid level will drop,i'm at 410 miles on my 07(not an SVT),and i fell a weird/slight vibration sensation every now and then when getting on a little bit.I think i'll take mine in for a look as well when they get my license plates in.

They gota be stupid to overfill it. Not much should be pouring out when they open the fill plug either. Can they see what spot it is leaking from. THe axel seal can be leaking from an overfill or from a sloppy installation where the trans hooks up with the axel (axel seal)

Mine was overfilled from the factory.
I flushed it and then refilled it with Royal Purple Synchromesh. A month later I checked it and had a very minute amount drain out the fill plug. It was still purple as opposed to before with the factory goo...
Where is the filler plug?
