Hey guys. I am new to the focus. I have wanted one for a few years and I think I will get one before the summer. I have been looking at focus's and I found an '02 SVT. What do you know about them. I have heard that they have some problems. I am greatful for any and all help.

All cars have their quirks. if you can get an '04 with the EAP, go for it man!!!!!

It's a toss up with an 02. If you get one that the "bugs" have already been worked out of it's a great car. If your willing to suffer through working the "bugs" out yourself it will also be a great car. BTW welcome to FF.

Generally speaking, the '03 and '04 models are more reliable. As mentioned the '02's had some bugs that were worked out in the later models.

Great driving car. One of the best handling front wheel drive cars you'll ever find!

And if you do get an '02, make sure there is an updated tune on it. Preferrably, Tom's (1TurboFocus) Predator Tune.
