My bud over in Europe just bought a auto tran Escort, and he asked me what kind of transmission oil he needs to use. I have no idea myself, so I turn to you guys.

I wanna say just the regular tran oil, but I'm not positive so I gotta make sure.

It will say what to use in the owner's manual. Probably Mercon ATF of some kind (there is like three or four types). What year/model is it?
