: Boost and Timing

After see a few threads about people making really descent power on lower boost threads I've decided to give it a try.

After I get the new DP/ORP/Flex on I'm going to turn down the boost and start playing with the tune (fuel and timing)

Recently we have seen people making 300whp on as little as 12.5psi on Cali 91 (or at least thats what Xios is reporting)... so I'm wondering what kind of power I may be able to obtain at 15psi on good old 93 octane.

As usual I plan on doing it in increments and always on the side of safety.

So what do you think I may be able to pull off??

Of course I will eventually dyno it to confirm my theory.

....[shhh] .... psst John, I've got a bottle of "secret sauce" that xios and the californians use to get those figures. ....
good luck.

I was the first and more then likely have tuned more SVT Focus boosted than anyone out there , I have NEVER seen 12.5psi on anything PC , Turbo , Vortec , jrsc ,pw none of them have reached 300 short of 18 to 20PSI

Now im not saying there not ? ? ? BUT it does seem strange there SVT has better head flow then all the others in stock form

Boost PSI is nothing more then what is left that cannot get forced into the combustion chamber , big turbo small turbo dont matter when were talking this low of boost ,

So 03OrangeSVT by lowering your boost you will do nothing more then lower your HP , yes you can add more timing by lowering the boost but you cannot make up for boost with timing , you shouldnt have to change the fuel any thats metered by the incoming air lower boost = less air= less fuel all by it self and about the same with the timing

Oh well... at least it was a thought.
