Hey Tom, I had some trouble and I thought you would know something about this since you had it done before. Long story short, my solenoid A is bad and I can't shift into O/D. I was wondering if you knew how hard it is to put in a new valve body from Ford Racing. I have a feeling if I take it to a shop, they will charge me even more and I could run into that same problem again, whereas if I get a stronger valve body and put it in myself, I could save some money, fix a broken tranny, and fix a weak tranny all at the same time. Thoughts?

It depends on your ability to turn wrenches, I changed mine out a few times when Lentech was working with me and we were testing new things , it took about 2hrs start to finish for me to change it , paying attention and being carefull with a little wrench skill and you should be fine , if you dont have that dont try it

I've done an alternator before, if it's comparable to that I think I could do it. Anything to watch out for in particular? I've heard people talking about springs that fall out or something.

It comes with directions read through it and see how you feel about doing it
