: I hate you guys....
bacarl 02-01-2007, 12:29 PM So, here I was all happily driving my ST with only SVT springs and an AEM CAI for upgrades. But after reinstalling my stock intake for the winter and feeling what a difference that one little part made, the mod-bug is biting awfully hard again... Now I've been perusing the boards, thinking about exhaust, better suspension set-ups, and I just ordered the set of mild-ish Cossie cams that FocusSport had for sale.
Whenever I come on here and read the threads, my motivation to modify goes off the charts. What, do you all think my money grows on trees?? Give me a break already!! [wrenchin]
Oh and of course I've got big plans for some custom dyno tuning with my local speed shop once I get the I/E/C all installed. Arrgg!
CrazyMatt 02-01-2007, 12:32 PM Hahah. Sucker.
Welcome to the Additction!

Klondike 02-01-2007, 05:03 PM lol yea its very addicting, welcome to FF
babyface 02-01-2007, 05:12 PM how much were the cams? they still on sale?
and whats ur local speed shop?
focusonthefocus 02-01-2007, 05:15 PM The usual fix is to buy the SPI and then you won't have the option to mod! LOL... JUST PLAYING, Pirates!
Yeah... I feel the addiction at times.
..:: sleestak ::.. 02-01-2007, 06:14 PM even when my budget goes tits-up, I still find cheap mods to do...clear corners, tinting tails and grill lights, push button start, adding cathodes. it never EVER ends.
WUGcatsvt 02-01-2007, 06:29 PM I agree with you man. This Board is getting me into debt.
HaveBlue83 02-01-2007, 06:37 PM man, I am looking at Nitrous......what the HELL as a doing looking at that???
yeah, Modding is BAD for your bank account.......VERY BAD...........AND it's tax season........oh boy.....
StealthGray 02-01-2007, 07:01 PM Gee, they say the first step to recovery is to admit you have a problem. You guys readily admit you have a problem, you not only not recover, you pass the problem on to everyone else... and yeah, you're doing it to me too! <g>
heelflip101 02-01-2007, 07:05 PM I know I have problem, but I don't care!!!
Klondike 02-01-2007, 07:10 PM ^tell me about it, my tax return is spent before i even did it yet,lol
heelflip101 02-01-2007, 07:16 PM Hey don't feel bad. If you have a choice between affording a mod or eating, the right thing to do is spend the money on the car. Besides, the weight loss only makes you faster.
WUGcatsvt 02-01-2007, 07:21 PM ^^^ HAHAHA Well said
EurosilverSVT 02-01-2007, 07:22 PM Modding is like Heroin.. you do it once, you're hooked and the relaps is horrible and the urges are stronger then anything out there
aus.spec 02-01-2007, 07:22 PM Haha i've got the same problem, after getting my new car i was never considering modding it. But now i'm looking at all these options that i know will bust my bank balance.
Klondike 02-01-2007, 09:09 PM ^hahahah yea, after i got my 07 i was like ima do lil mods, but then i was like lets drop it, put nice wheels, and a few other things
illinipo 02-01-2007, 09:30 PM Modding is like Heroin.. you do it once, you're hooked and the relaps is horrible and the urges are stronger then anything out there
I just lost the bug! The cure? $1200 of parts in a month, $800 of parts in one of those weeks. Crap... When I relapse im gonna like, go turbo or somethin... Or get 2 grand in wheels/tires and suspension all at once... Eh, I'm one of the lucky ones. [shhh] The bug only comes around when the green is there to kick it. [neener]
zx3racer88 02-01-2007, 09:34 PM i agree with all of you...i got started with the CAI then the full exhaust then the cossie intake manifold and on and on...then i blew the head...then i fixed it better than before ...it never stops...but it feels so good...
03zx3forme 02-01-2007, 10:07 PM be careful, once it starts-its hard to stop...
bacarl 02-02-2007, 07:54 AM how much were the cams? they still on sale?
and whats ur local speed shop?
They're $140 ea, marked down from $200 ea. I asked Randy how long they'd be discounted and he wasn't sure. Could be until next week or next month, he said. Clicky -> http://www.focussport.com/cams.htm
And I go to Detroit Speed Shops - store in Livonia, dyno in Dearborn Heights.

hahaha, ohhh, ok! It's not so bad when I think about it that way [:D]
