i have a zx3 right now, and i am plannin on gettin an svt this summer. my question is: is there any weight differences between them, i would assume that the 5dr is heavier, i also wanted to know if the wheelbase is the same for both of the cars? and which one you all might prefer me to go with?

According to Car and Driver the 5 door is only 60 pounds heavier than the 3 door.
I originally had a ZX3 and now I have an SVT ZX5 and am very happy with it.

I love my ZX5 SVT.

Aesthetically I prefer the 3 door, and I like the feel of the big, heavy doors on mine. However there have been a few times I'd rather have the 5 door. It's a matter of personal opinion really. I'd get a 5 door over a 3 if I could do it again maybe, but more important than that I'd get anything with the EAP.

The wheel base is the same.They make the front doors smaller to accommodate the rear doors. It's not much heavier ,so it's which do you like better? From what I understand ,the sun roof adds more weight than extra doors do.

I think the 3-doors look better (what I have), but the 5-doors offer better rear passenger safety, if that's important to you.

What do you want to know? The 3 door and 5 door SVT's are the same length, have the same interior the the seats are the same on both models, same amount of hatch space, only exterior difference besides the doors is that the 3 doors some bottom piece that won't fit on the 5 door. The weight difference is around 60 pounds and Car and Driver mentioned that the 5 door had slightly stiffer rear springs due to the added weight but I don't think that is true.

If its just you and you dont have a family i would go with ZX3. If you have kids or have more than one person riding with you go with the ZX5. The cars are pretty much the same only 60 lbs diffrence isnt going to make a big diffrence.
