you should drop a nice v8 in there and convert to rwd, and have tons of fun, aand make 90 percent of this forum jealous

wouldn't that cost like 25,000 dollars??? I'd do it if it was only like 5 or 10. But I hear they are almost impossible to control and not very practical.

think of it this way, rear drive completely changes the handling characteristics of the stock body/suspension.

most of the swaps end up using a modded mustang rear end, which works well, but the car does have a very short wheelbase and higher center of gravity than most RWD cars.

have you ever driven a Jeep Wrangler on the highway? Thats pretty close to what a V8 reardrive Focus would be like. Very squirelly at high speeds and overly sensitive to steering inputs.

for practicality? it's still got the same Focus body, in either hatch or sedan. You have to modify the floorpan a bit, and the engine bay is totally chnged, but the interior is the same.

gas mileage on the other hand suffers.

**but there is an undeniable appeal to doing a burnout at a Focus meet, and seeing the looks on ppl's faces when they realize its the rear wheels spinning, not the fronts, lol.**
