i'm such an idiot... a while ago i put post talking about my 03 focus being a 2.0 ztech but in actuallity i have a 2.3 pzev which is better... and my buddie has a 06 cobalt. both are 5 speed. mine has cat back exhaust and CIA. he has axle back exhaust... so what do you guys think? who would win?

street race... rolling start maybe... who knows... i know mine will stomp in the corners (autocross) but what would happen in the street?

I never heard of one either until a buddy put one on his TC it bolts on LIKE a catback but is only from the axle back. Its like a total of 3 feet of a larger diameter pipe LOL


Biggest waste of money next to an actual fart can.


Anyway yes the 2.3 duratec is faster than a Zetec stock for stock, better is a matter of opinion. I think the duratecs have a much more promising future than the Zetec could achieve but the Zetec has come a long way and is a really good motor too.

So basicly don't get cocky b/c you have a 2.3

LoL, the axle back thing is just a joke my buddy made up. he has a custom magnaflow axle back using a magnaflow muffler (obviously far from a "fart can"). Yea i was suprised to find out that i had a 2.3 after thinking i was only a 2.0. so i like my duratec.

Well then he did not exactly make it up himself. LOL But if all he's looking for is sound thats pretty good b/c its like nothing on the performance side. So basicly he is all stock, and you have nothing to worry about you should beat him.

The axel back is sold by a few companies, mainly to cars that have a bolt up connection that far back on the car (unlike our focus) like Injen is who makes the one for the TC and I am sure other companies do too.

Ok guys i need some help getting this pansey to race me i mean come on im just a little Cobalt with exhaust...... I have my gf and her Mustang to film us if he ever comes out to play..... Im not haten on Superfocus28 he is been my best bro for many years and takes my critizem so dont take me as im talking shit over the internet i do it to his face too. :)

The 2003-4 2.3s have notoriously long gears with a 3.41:1 final drive ratio, nice for fuel economy and top end speed but you're not going to have that great of acceleration off the line. I'd say its going to be a driver's race.

Thats pretty much what every one says, we went to the street legal drags once but it was both of our first times. It wasint pretty i beat him every time WE raced but by the end of the night he got a better time then me when he raced another car. So.....Drivers race fosho.

My friend has a Cobalt LT and I spank him all the time ,but thats a little different story. Your buddy needs to "man up' and race you.Just keep it safe.
