it was a very sad day on dec. 29th when i was at a complete stop turning right and a chevy 1500 plowed straight into the back of my Focus. no warning no skidding nothing at all..anyway take a look if youd like....
Driver seat twisted, radio flew out:
Right rear end:
Passenger side panel:
what do you think?, its an 00' and it was in very good condition prior to accident...

Pooor kona addition... Sorry to hear about your car, but as long as your ok that is all that matters I bet that hurt especially with the driver seat twisted wow!
01-03-2007, 05:36 AM
How fast was that fool going?!?! At least you are ok! Do you plan on looking for another Focus, or moving on?
01-03-2007, 06:19 AM
WOW!! that sucks! glad your ok
01-03-2007, 08:56 AM
well that proves it if your cars big enough you don't have to watch where your going? Is it too late to scream your neck hurts? With a little extra money you could build a nice new and even faster focus. Hope you didn't get hurt, good luck with your car.

Damn, would it be totaled?
01-03-2007, 10:00 AM
Looks like the car held up pretty good considering. I was rear ended in KC by a diesel Dodge truck with a brush guard and only had a dent in the hatch rear and my bumper was cracked. I was told by the body shop that it is really hard back there.

Sorry, man. I seriously hope you're alright. But visually it seems like the ZX3 held up pretty well. This is more proof that it's a tough shell to crack. Too many people doubt the safety of this vehicle.
It's also a shame that it had to be a Kona. I love the color of these. If I'm not mistaken, I think Konas are far more rare than SVTs. But as long as you're alright that's all that really matters.

buff it out!
jk that sucks to be hit, i got tboned in my first focus. atleast you didn't get the blame and you're ok.
maybe, just maybe insurance won't total it out. if they don't i'd get the RS body panels put on and repainted kona brown, that would be sweet
Damn that sucks. Another Kona down... [:(]
Glad you are okay.

i know the speed limit on that street is about 45, i dont know how fast she was going though. some muscle relaxers pain meds and im ok. you know the main question going through my head is if it's totaled or not. i agree it held up great considering the size and speed of what hit us from behind. as of a new car i would most def. consider another focus zx3 but we'll see how the 08's turn out lookin.
01-03-2007, 02:35 PM
Damn dude... Just be glad you are ok!!!!
01-03-2007, 04:34 PM
Wow, i'm really glad you're ok... freaken sucks for te Kona though. Good luck.
01-03-2007, 05:12 PM
your car is probably going to be totaled, that looks like a hell of alot of damage, and theres probably frame damage....especially if your drivers seat twisted....how did that happen, you must have back pain or something. Screw pain killers, get your moneys worth, cause i think its gonna be totaled and your gonna want a different car.
01-03-2007, 05:29 PM
damn, sorry about your loss.
I completely agree with what DrkKnight614.
If you have any pain at all in the next few days, get it checked out.
Spinal injuries that occur years from now could be a result from this accident.
01-03-2007, 05:30 PM
yeah for real, if this is your first totalled car, you'll get screwed, so if they want to total it out, you better get all you can for everything.
you need to sue the lady, because insurance will pay as little as possible. after all insurance companies don't get rich by paying everything..
01-03-2007, 08:00 PM
I would bet money that they are going to total it, the damage looks to be all the way up into the structural support for that corner. But, they WILL try and low-ball you for what its worth. You HAVE to fight them. I have been through this before. I had to go all the way up to threatening to take them to court over the manner. So when it comes down to dealing with this stuff, hold your ground! Don't except anything under what it would cost to replace.

figures it would be a girl driving!
01-04-2007, 02:03 AM
glad to hear you're ok, but sorry to hear that it happened.
01-04-2007, 02:06 AM
no injuries?! Glad to hear that your okay...Poor focus, poor you. :-(
Hi there! if you're ok, that's it.
What are the interior reparings?
I just got a Kona, and love it, but I didn't get the original seat covers. If you're not using them, would you sell them to me? let me know

I don't think the airbags would go off from a rear end collision... [chair]
01-04-2007, 02:25 PM
yeah no airbags, there is interior damage, like the left rear panel that goes across the window busted off, and more.. the trunk floor where the spare sits is all bent up. getting an estimate today... ill let you guys know what happens.
