I have only recently gotten into moding my focus, i had no idea there was such a plethora of really fun aftermarket parts for it! anyways my question is this my car is a 2004 Zx3 focus with the 2.3 Pzev engine, i've noticed when looking at engine componates nothing says Pzev it all either says duratec or spi... is my engine either or it is the bastard love child that will be impossible to buy the right parts for ? any input would be appreciated, you all seem to know what youre doing.

What does your engine look like? Does it say Zetec right on the valve cover or is it a jumble of wires?

not sure i'm at work right now, i'll check when i'm done, i'm pretty sure it doesn't say anything on it, i would have noticed that, but then again you never know.

But anything for the 2.3L Duratec will work for your car. I also believe the intakes/exhausts for the 2.0 Duratec and 2.3L Duratec work as well.

Your in Cali, so in 04 they came out with the Pzev motor for green states. Partial Zero emissions Vehicle. I think that's what the P stands for. LOL Just a fancy name for the Duratec for that year.

DURATEC FTW!!! More hp potential, but less aftermarket support as of now....they need a supercharger for the duratec...anyways. Good choice for first parts, exhaust should be your second purchase, then work on the suspension! lol, just my opinion
