when the 08 focus is introduced will the ST still be available? if so will it stay in it's sedan form or do you think they will make and option for a coupe ST? i dont know about everyone eles but myself i think a ST coupe might be kinda interesting (considering the new design does'nt look horrible). so what's you guy's opinions on it?

The new design does look horrible though. There is no way in hell I would buy the '08 body style if it stays looking the way it currently does. I am sure an ST (other similar performance model) will move over to the coupe layout. But the coupe is ugly, and I will really miss the hatch :/

I agree. A ST coupe would be a pretty cool car. Kinda like a hot rod ZX2. I just hope Ford will have more horse power for the 2.3. You never know with Ford.....LOL

i dought they'll add more hp. i think the major mechanical changes will be in 2010 with the new platform. or so i have read.

it looks like they had a fusion rape a 4-door ST and that was their by product...

i think the coupe could look good with a good drop and some nice 16"s maybe a wing. end up looking like a civic si coupe but not as agressive.

If im not mistaken it's built on the same chassies the older ones...so u might be able to do a front/rear end swap...lol aint even seen the car and already thinking of mods...but if it is on the same chassies and you can make a swap it might not be a total loss after all.

Dude, this is like the 4th thread I've seen this in. An EDM focus does nobody here (in north america) any good, I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to accomplish. Whatever it is, For Sale forums will serve you better, and forums in europe perhaps better still...

According to Ford's announcement there will be only two trim levels on the Focus in 2008, SES and SE.

NO ST model. No 2.3L Duratec. No rear disk brakes.
No performance tuned exhaust. No sport/handling suspension. Also, no ZX3, no ZX5 and no ZXW. No S models.

The did mention a sport trim option on the two models that included chrome door handle triim.

Either Ford is digging its own grave...or it has something in the werks for the distant future. Honda brought out the ugly hatch SI so that they could make a big appearance with the new two door SI. Maybe Ford is bringing this car out as a temp. for the 2010 focus which will be a showstopper.

somehow i doubt that it was part of honda's plan for the 02-05 si to sell poorly. i actually liked how that car looked, but unfortunately, it was underpowered and came with ass tires from the factory(hence the reason nobody bought them).
