Hey tom i wanted to know(which you have probably answered this question a milion times but i am new to this) what tuning would be the best. I have a co-worker who told me to take my car to a tuner here in Atlanta that solders a chip onto ur ecu for 100 dollars and then charges 140 dollars an hour to tune. Is that any good??? how bout the SCT chip?? or XCAL??? I would really like to know which is my best option?? [scratch] [?|]

There is no best option all chips do the same thing , That guy is more then likely talking about the uni-chip not a bad devise use them my self on other cars, BUT on the Focus you can plug in a chip or do a flash that keeps you from cutting wires
First what all is done to your engine

Find some one that can do a Diablo or a SCT chip , on the dyno will be the safest and best performance wise tune

is it better to go with a chip or with a flasher like the xcal? which can i get the most out from?

Tey both do the same thing , with the flasher you can download tunes from your tuner if some small thing needs to be changed

now with the chip can u still add files to it?

Yes, you can have programs added and deleted.

The chip and the flasher do the same thing one just plugs into the "J" port and one flashes the ECU through the OBDII port
Like i said with the flasher tunes can be sent to you through emails where the chip will have to be taken back to the guy that tuned it
