I have a miss in my car when ever I give it gas.
it idles finebut when i rev it ,it starts cutting out.
I can drive the car fine if I eas into the throttle.
its boosted 10psi precision kit dyno tune with SCT
The airfilter was a cai up in the fender with a suck though maf
I moved it to under the hood up highto keep water off the filter
acouple days later it would miss for a slip sec. when I would hit it
wof and go away.I put the maf and piping back way it was when the car was dyno'ed.I've changed the plugs and wire and coil pack.
I removed my tps it feel apart when I removed it.the car is a 2000zx3 5speed
I replace the ica because it was leaking air badused one one off a different yr focus, dont know if is the cause.
I had a extra tps of a auto TB and used it and it still isnt right.
Could it be the wrong tps.

Hook up your scanning and check the TPS and make sure it is reading correctly
Check the Elec. wires going into your coil
Take the tune out if it would run before tuning and rev it to see if it revs ok with out the tune DO NOT DRIVE IT , Just rev it enough for testing the misfire
Check the MAF voltage a bad MAF will do this
Your scan tool will tell you a lot as to what is going on

check the elec. supply plug for the coil. the wires have a history of being too short in the harness and they crack where they join the plug. ditto on the TPS.

checked all the wiring
now I'm looking for a good deal on a dell labtop
so i can check it the right way

My dad bought a nice gateway laptop for ~$700 brand new. He was looking at Dells too...just a thought. They have some sort of rebate/ deal going on right now, check it out.

I haven't had much luck with HP. My Pc has been thru a couple mobos and is messed up again. Good luck curing the misfire. I had a bad one but it was just plugs.

the dell is on its way[goofydrunk] and then its tuning time.
soon as I got my SCT proracer my old labtop crashed and I never got to log anything.

marty watch out moving the maf as this changes the a/f and could cause problems.what plugs are u using and did u regap the new plugs to the same gaps as the one's u replaced

I put the maf back in the spot were the car was tuned.
so I'm ready to hook up the Live wire
and check my MAF voltage
is there anything else I can look for like TPS voltage?

Have you tried loading in the old tune to see if it is tune related? Put your old tune back in it and start it up and see how it revs... DO NOT DRIVE IT WITH THE OLD TUNE IN IT.... only rev it up to see if there is any difference.
What about reseting the ECU? Could it be the Cam position sensor?

tried the reset no good
tried stock tune and it really ran bad.
set my live link with maf voltage, load, tps something and the only thing
that worked was the load.

You will have to pick MAF ticks
You should be seeing TPS check this with key on engine off check idle then go WOT
Load comes from the MAF so ill bet the MAF is working properly but would need to see it to tell
Fuel psi at fuel rail
Drive it for about 2 Min logging it and stop the log and send it to me IF it acts up

MAF Tics whats this under
Timing is this the spark advance
Fuel psi at fuel rail is this open loop flag or Fuel injec pulsewidth 1
Knock sensor what else would this be called
