I quickly bought my Focus this past Wed, March 31st to take advantage of a $2500.00 rebate that the dealer said was to expire that day. Only to discover that the following day a $3000.00 took effect. I contacted the dealer and requested a $500.00 reinbursement. They said there was nothing they could do.
I do not feel FORD wanted me to lose $500.00 in a 24hour period. Does anyone have any suugestions? I am looking for an email address of and FORD executives that might be able to assist.
Thank you and best regards,

Ford has a policy of not announcing OR informing ANYONE of rebates except for when the offers expire. I doubt there is much you can do. I had something similar happen to me.

Man that's unfortunate. I don't think there's anything to be done though, like eggyolk said I don't think dealers or anybody knows about the upcoming rebate (or lack thereof) except the guys up in Corporate.
On a lighter note, what kind of Focus did you get?

This happened to someone in Feb.2004.
There's nothing you can do.

It's a gamble with the incentives. I work for a company that converts Ford GM and Dodge vehicles, so I get to hear incentive stuff a lot from our sales guys. Once an incentive is done, it's over. The same thing happened to me after Sept 11. I bought a Tahoe on GMS and right after I bought, GM put on high incentives and 0%. Got burnt, to the tune of a few thousand over the life of the finance.

But on the 31st you thought it was a good enough deal to sign on the dotted line. What changed? You could always wait until 2005 and buy a 2004 focus for a lot less money. Either way you got to take the plunge at some point. Would you have been as upset if you did the deal on the 15th?
Not trying to bust your balls but be happy, you got a great car at a great price. The extra $500 would have been nice though ;-)
Congrats on your new Focus. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine ;-)
Oh yeah, welcome to the FF forum.

copngrats on the new car....
sorry about the rebate deal, but sometimes it works that way. but sometimes it works the other way too! i think you should consider yourself lucky to have a great car at a good price, instead of a great car at what might have been a higher price.

I just heard a Ford ad yesterday here in southcentral PA and they now are offering a $4,000 factory rebate. If I would have known that 3 weeks ago, I could have bought a new '04 for almost the same price I paid for a used '03. OUCH!
