i tried to call you but the message says your lines are down. i was wondering if you could give me some guidence of camshafts. now that i have a extra block and head, i want to do some tampering around to see how much gains you can get. also i was never able to find out what caused my engine to go. but i have a clue, tell me if this sounds right to you
1.the tune was with the intake mani sagging because of the weak couplers, when i put the stronger couplers on. it had a increase of air flow
2.knock sensor was disconected
3.lower octance gas, from one of those pumps were all octane levels come out of the same nozzle.
i think that the combo of all of these is a good guess to what lead to the engine failure. some people tried to get me to say it was a bad tune, but i told everybody that it wasn't. just wish i knew exactly what lead to the failure. i will post pics up of the head and block later

Hmmm some one else called today and said that but i have been getting calls all week

My email is working because i just answered 51 emails and got 37 more to do

Now to your question

1.the tune was with the intake mani sagging because of the weak couplers, when i put the stronger couplers on. it had a increase of air flow
**No dont think that would of caused it
2.knock sensor was disconected
**I turn the knock sensor off in the tune anyway
3.lower octance gas, from one of those pumps were all octane levels come out of the same nozzle.
**Would kill it in a heart beat

Im sure some did try to get you to say my tune was bad and the cause , We drove your car and beat the crap out of it both on the dyno and off and the time between tuning and the engine going im sure you ran it for what its worth many times , My guess is low octane fuel it is very common and you would never know it , I have had stations tested and every time found lower octane in the tank then advertised

what would be your best advice for the octane level as well, would it be to tune for 90 octane

No you you just have to be carefull where you get fuel and listen for deto , You could have a stopped up fuel filter , pump going bad , injector messed up, fuel rail PSI sensor bad and number of things that would cause an engine to go with boost

Filter you can blow through with your mouth just be VERY carefull not to get any in your mouth , fuel pump can be check when you get it running again as well as FRPS , injector will have to be flow tested
