: 70 mm tb

hey guys i gotta question for ya. i read about these people modifying stang throttle bodys to fit a focus, if this is true how do u do it? btw i have a bbk 70 mm throttle body of my old 00 stang gt would that be way to big for my car?

might be unless you are F.I. go ahead and go with a 65mm..most people on here stick with that. its a good size, it fits, and idk, we just like it. yeah, its gonna cost you more money, but if you dont have a poweradder, i dont see a need for that big of a size...but idk..hopefully someone can help out more that I can.

I am not sure but I think if your maf is not adjusted in your tune for that much air you might end up runing either rich or lean, unless i am totally wrong and the ecu can adjust to it on its own?

One thing to consider... think about the negligable gains you get from the Thottle Body in the first place. roughly 3-4 hp (thats small enough to be dyno varience). If the stock one, which is almost 65" anyway, was that much of a restriction we'd see > 5hp gains which is def not the case.

i do believe that Steeda used to sell a 70mm TB but they stated that it sould only be one race cars or cars with high hp. It tends to stall alot at idle.
