: Intake breather?

I put a Steeda intake on today and had a question about the breather. The stock intake has a sponge that soaks up the oil. Is it bad that the oil is now going straight into the intake. The way the intake sits it will be running right into the TB. Thanks

Good question. Anyone?

I had a CAI that had the breather tube running into it. It made a big mess of the TB. I clean it up and put the stock airbox back on the car.

should I just buy 2 breather filters and put on on the engine and one on the hole in the intake?

I'm fairly sure that they need to stay connected. Can you insert the old sponge in the breather tube somewhere? Your TB will definately suffer over time otherwise.

A lot of people just put a breather filter right off the valve cover, or vent it off to the side.
You can also do this:

thanks that is exactly what I need to make. I had fresh oil in my hose from all those fast right hand turns lol.
