Hey noob here, obviously I'm aware of what the SVTF is and all, otherwise I wouldn't have bought one. Well I got a 2002 Sonic Blue with 35k miles. Only performance mods that I could see right away were Ford Racing Plug Wires and an AEM short ram intake. Outside The wheels are some sort of Enkei design dark grey matches the blue well. The windows are tinted, and turn signals and side markers are smoked. I got freaked out on the ride home though, the brake light kept blinking on me, thought the fluid level was low, turns out someone had left the inside of the cap (that cardboard thingy) in the reservior...Grr. I won't be doing a lot with the car for a while, as it's cost me most of my savings to get her home lol. I am trading up from a '94 Probe SE so the difference is amazing. FYI My name is Charlie and I'm from RI. I hope to learn and contribute to this board. Now I'm gonna go drive hehe!

Sad, but true. When I first picked up my SVTF 2.5 years ago, I said it was gonna stay stock. As you can see from my sig, I got bit by the mod bug. I was just telling my wife, that if I can trade my SVTF in for a Mazdaspeed 6, the MS 6 will stay stock. She called B.S. right away.[?|]

i upgraded from a 1968 Ford F250... i knew from the start i'd be modding my car, it was so fun to drive. Already have a new clutch and flywheel, doing the rear motor mount, short throw shifter, CAI, and tune :)

I joined Probe Talk but never really posted there, got too busy and wound up kicking myself for getting an SE vs. a GT. Right after I got the Probe, it got hit, so all the plans I had to make it a sexy car got bolloxed. I am going to mod the SVT, I think my 1st mod will be the Predator tune by Tom, but that'll probably not be fiscally possible till Dec. that'll be my x-mas present to myself. Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I havent gotten any pics yet but hopefully tomorrow before work.

Blah I was driving tonight and when I got out of my car I thought I had stepped on ice but it's thankfully still too warm for that. So I check the carpet and yup, seems I have the infamous clutch leak. Hopefully the dealer that sold me the car will fix it for me for free, because that's an annoying issue...

[welcome] Charlie. The SVTs are awesome, well engineered. Name's Chris, I've been an owner of an SVT for a little over a year. From Cali. here, hope you enjoy your car. They're a blast, just don't end it's cruising days prematurely. [;)]

I talked to the dealer, turns out they knew about the leaky clutch cylinder but didn't tell me about it, slipped their mind, they had already ordered the part to fix it and it just came in, so i have a service appt monday at 10, hopefully not the first of many lol.

Blah no piccys yet. Car has been at the dealers all day today...they said I'd have it back by four which is in 15 mins, so that doesn't look good. If i get it while its light I could snap a few pics. If not tomorrow before work should be a decent time, no other pressing engagements

Haha so I got my car back at about 6:30...made them wash it too ;) (thanks guys), so I go to start it up and NOTHING...so I walk back in and am like uhh why won't my car start, and the service tech is like oh the clutch so and so (guess start lockout) isn't all the way down anymore you have to have it like an inch for the bottom...then it fired right up. he said it was a royal pain to replace the clutch cyl, glad it was done by them, no cost to me. The good news is I can now finally shift smoothy because it doesn't catch 1/4" from the floor like it did before the work was done. Everything feels really good now so hopefully it'll stay that way...PICS SOON!!!
