: Just bought 02 svtf. What's missing back here?
Yep.Couldn't resist this today at the auction.I popped the hatch and the left inner plastic 1/4 panel cover is missing and there is a (def Ford)wiring harness with about 8 wires into a plug to nowhere. Is this missing an amp or speakers or something?Or am I just missing the 1/4 trim panel and the plug goes to nothing?I have a ZX3 and an SE,but neither has this harness.Help?
Sounds like someone hijacked the factory Audiophile Sub-Woofer, Amp, and Box. [:(]
damn!Anyone got a spare?Ebay mabye?

That is why it was so cheap...lol.
C'mon..an amp can't be worth much...this is a dealer only auction and car was listed as a "Focus". Rest of the car is nice with lightweight 17" wheels with new Kumho MX's,drilled/slotted plated discs,2" eibach sport springs,AEM intake,Magnaflow exhaust.Still not bad for the money.Anyone got a pictue of what thi missing unit looks like?

Youre better off with an aftermarket sub anyway.

damn... price/milage on this? this was more then likely a car for racing/autocrossing. but yeah if you want to replace that with stock, look around and you should be able to replace everything for $100 or less... if it's only just hte stereo system equipment.

here it is without the cover.
oh yeah and sorry to jack the thread but where's the pump for the rear hatch window washer. i want to disable it as i can't use it no more with my whale tail. i want to disable it so it doesn't accidently get switched on and flood the interior of my car as the hose wasn't reattached.
Thanks Guys!Yea,that's def missing on my car.Do they make a plug and play replacement?

It may not have been taken. The last two Focus SVTs that I've owned did not have the audiophile system but the wiring was there...maybe someone just took the carpet piece. Does it have the 9006 Audiophile head unit?

yes.. jl audio sells a box that will work.. but if im not mistaken... its a $400 box... without the cost of the sub, amp and wiring included.... not to mention that if you go with a non factory sub, you'll need to do a line out converter....
heres my best opinion...
go to best buy... get a nice alpine deck...
pick up two rockford p2 or p3 subs... depending on how much bass you want.... p2's will have less bass, p3's will have more
get a nice rockford amp
get a sturdy, stong sealed box
and call it a day
Picked the car up today. The head does say Audiophile 9006.Radio plays fine.Must sound real good with the amp/sub unit!Car seems to have all the options, but I am not sure what was an option on these. It has side air bags and a power sunroof. The car runs nice! The Magnaflow sounds good. The power is better than my modded '00 SE,but only from 5-7k,and not enough for me to forget about a blower. Now the question is which one do I do the blower on?I just did a Torsen/Fidanza flywheel and Centerforce in the SE and it is strong. The SVT will always be worth money and the SE is basically a throw away car.I just don't know what to do.I picked up the svt cheap.I really like the car...I was thinking of reselling it..but I dunno....

They are fun, but riddled with problems. That is why I got rid of mine. 2 clutches, multiple rattling exhaust issues, and a broken DSI was enough for me to let it go. I'd still like to have a fofo, but not an SVT. I keep looking for a Kona, but cant find one. I always thought those were cool.

That's all? You really gave up quick.
My sub jas blown twice (I would recommend staying away from stock). It really sounds horrible without a speaker back there.
Hey,hey,hey...found a sub/amp for $75 bucks.Sounds nice with all the stuff working.I might just have to keep this rig....[:D] [:D]

It's definitely nice. I want to upgrade the front speakers and get rid of the mids by the back seats. Eventually I'll upgrade the sub with a better 8" too; you can definitely get a much nicer sound out of that box.
