I just got the EL GLO SpeedHut gauge face yesterday for my 2004 ZTS PZEV.
It doesn't fit at all.
The centers are off - you can have like the tach hole perfectly centered, and the other holes are out of whack and will look like crap when the needles go back on. I could not get any 2 holes to look like they were centered properly at the same time.
YES, I pulled my needles -- it was the only way to get it on the '04 PZEV cluster. But I pulled them with the knowledge of how to recalibrate them. :)
I'm going to have to return it. I did call them before I ordered, and they said if it doesn't fit right I can return it, so that's promising.
Anyone know of anywhere else that sells guage faces? I like the idea of a entire face replacement rather that the "stick-on" overlays. They seem kinda cheap to me now that I've had my hands on one. I'd rather pay more and get something more substantial.
While I had the cluster opened up, I DID manage to change the LEDs with surface-mount Blue PowerTops for the following lights:
Turn signals - now blue, 2 PowerTop SMT LEDs each
Cruise Control ON - now blue, 1 PowerTop SMT LED
LCD Trip/Odometer - now blue. Had to desolder the LCD display, removed it to find SIX SMT LEDs below it. Desoldered the green LEDs, installed 6 PowerTop SMT LEDs. It looks SWEET!!! :)
Now I've just gotta get my ticks and numbers to all be blue and I'll be all set. :P
