: stock clutch, fidanza flywheel??

I was wondering if the stock clutch would work just fine with the aluminum 12lb. fidanza flywheel? My SVT clutch is out and has never had that TSB done, just found out about it! The thing is that my fidanza flywheel is on its way already, have not ordered clutch yet. If ford decides the TSB to be done, would they install fidanza in for me. But I have a feeling the dealer is gonna give me crap since my clutch is out at 54,000 miles. Who knows?[???:)]

My clutch is on the verge of going, @ 61,000 miles.. i JUST got the new one delivered today. If i were you since they're going to be throwing in the new flywheel, might as well get a performance clutch to go with it. Get it all in one go instead of doing it again down the line.

But since I'm still under warranty, would this TSB go into effect for me. I heard of people geting a new, updated clutch and flywheel from ford free of charge or just some deductible. That would be great for me. I would save some money. I know of performance clutch and flywheels advantages but that can wait for me. I'm wondering if you had that TSB done? And what clutch and flywheel you going with?

oh, under warranty they'll fix it for you free. I didnt have the TSB done got it out of warranty, dunno whether or not the previous owner did or not. I went with the Clutchmasters Stage 1 clutch, and Fidanza Aluminum flywheel

more than likely, unless the dealer is really and i mean really cool they will not put a aftermarket flywheel in and do it all for free under a warrenty claim, the dealer gets to charge ford motor company for the costs of doing warrenty work so by you haveing a flywheel already is not saving them any time or money. But if they are cool you might be able to get something done.

more than likely they will come with some crap but hoping they don't. if they don't ill try one more dealer. give up and then get that same set up, clutchmasters stage 1 and fidanza flywheel. post on clutch/flywheel combo thread. i was wondering, how much you gonna pay for labor on that clutch/flywheel job? If I purchase same, comes out to $760 for parts and $400 labor.

Wow, where'd you get the clutch/flywheel? I was quoted at $225 for labor
10-17-2006, 06:17 AM
wow i don't have an svt, but thats cheap... everywhere i've been quoted for that job its been at cheapest 350 maybe. but mostly 400-450 for labor

darkproximity, if you check out the thread "post reviews of clutch/flywheel combo" just about everyone paid between $750-$850 for parts, and labor between $350-$450. and not everyone got their parts at the same place. so almost any where you pay this for performance clutch and lightweight flywheel. everyone was over the $1000 mark unless they installed them (crazy)selves!

no i was asking where you got yours at that price, i looked everywhere and the cheapest i could find was $775 Shipped (for both parts)

$755 shipped. Just a bit less. Fidanza flywheel off ebay from guy selling only ford parts ($340) and Clutchmasters FX100 from C-F-M (415). I will have it installed first week of november. Hoping everything goes smooth.
