My Cat Converter on my SVT sounds like something is loose and when I go into six gear at 70 when the rpms are just right it makes a very low sounding hum. Then when I go 78 it stops and back up to 80 it starts again. There was a bracket on the cat converter that broke it got a bit better when fixed, but still there . Does any one else have this issue.

The heat shield is known for breaking loose

I had the same thing happen. The heat shields brake loose causing a rattle. Get the C-F-M High Flow Cat. The heat shields are welded to it plus the Cat performs alot better.

I had same problem...I just got took the screws out of the heat sheilds where it wore threw and used washers to prevent it from rattling![:D] Did this for both header heat sheid (bottom two bolts) and cat heat sheild.

Could just as easily be the Cat Bracket as well. [thumb]
