I was driving home today with my passenger window open when I noticed a clicking noise coming from my forward passenger side wheel. Lately, my ride has been vibrating at about 55 mph too...anyone have any ideas?
Had almos the same problem, but with another care [Toyota Tercel]. I first checked my wheel allignment to see if the rims were rubbing on anything. Checked if the bolts were on correctly and whatnot. But that wasnt the problem, I looked at the rotors and the brake's seemed fine. So that wasnt the problem. Finally found out that it was my wheel bearing, it was warn. If you do alot of driving with your SPI check your bearings or lub them up.
Mine did that, but it was the rotor. The rotor was slightly warped and that made the brake pads "wiggle" back and forth when moving. Sounded like a squeaky floor at first.
I once had a clicking that drove me up the wall. It varied with road speed. Then I went, "duh," stopped the car, and pried the pebbles out of the tire tread.
Did you change your tire Recently or did a shop/mechanic.ect have the wheel off? Check the tire- Also i had a problem like that a week ago. it was strut was bad-
This advice is very helpful, my buddy and I are going to look into the wheel this weekend. I want to get this problem solved before I put on my new rims.
had the same problem. I bought brerrings, but messed up the spindle by trying to press them out the wrong way (so much for friends with a press). I ended up buying spindles on ebay for 130. fixed the problem
