I just installed a short intake and I dont think the air it's getting now is good enough. Any suggestions on how to feed it more cold air?? I rather not cut, but if I have to I guess I will.
get in touch w/ vision auto dynamics. they make a cold air that's for the zetec but you can just get a reducer (?) from pep boys or something. I think it'll work don't know. It's only like 90 bucks if you order online.
That is probably your problem there man, 12 bucks for an intake, you get what you pay for. I take it that you got some ebay intake or something? BTW, those are really shitty. If anything, replace the cone with a K&N filter instead, at least it will flow better.
$12 for the Intake??? You gotta be kidding me. The good intake will run about $200+. I have Volant and it is awesome. Good luck and do not good cheap on your investment.
I got the actual intake tube with the MAF hook up for nothing the filter cost me $12.00. The SPI is my other vehicle, My duratec is the one I spend money on. I like to just mess around with the SPI, so I don't want to spend a whole lot of money for parts. I don't plan on it having some crasy horsepower but would like to get a more out of it. I do plan to open up the exhaust and maybe do the Escort GT header swap, thats proly about it for that car.
just cut a hole in the hood, and fit a scoop forcing air down towards the filter..
