Whats up SPI's. I was looking through fousperformance.com and came across the "tornado". it claims to boost up 15 hp 17tq and 24% better gas milage. It sounds a little far fetched for only 70 bucks. Is this a scam or what? Sounds a little too good to be true.
Even if you dyno it, you ain't going to get 24% more gas mileage, shit every car on the planet would be getting one of those installed with these gas prices. Also, 15HP, not a chance. The air can be "tornadoed" into the TB all it wants, it doesn't effect anything except your wallet. Buy a real performance product instead.

my friends car has a computer chip in it that tells him how much horsepower he makes, and gas milage. we tested it about 10 times, and the same results came out. his care usually makes like 20 mpg, and it came out to 24.7 mpg, and it added like an extra 5 or so horsepower.
your the one wasting your time, if your not interested then dont bother reading it. im just letting you know, im not going out of my way to go "get proof" go find out for yourself.
nah, not what he said, what we saw and tested. but if you wanna cry about it dont buy it, dont be such a baby about it, maybe you should try it out but if you dont wanna then shutup
must we fight children? haha, chill out, if u wanna believe it works, and u know it works, then cool, use it....if u dont wanna use it and dont want to try it out, then chill out about it
As much as I would like for it to be true. I once again turn to Consumer Reports ,some people give me a hard time about refering to the mag but it is a good independent source. The very product (tornado) and two others like it are in there new issue that just came out (the one where they test the Pontiac GTO among others) and they said that it gives no improvment at all. I wish it did but it is too good to be true and has been proven to not work on more than one ocasion.
On a carbed engine this may be a benefit, as the fuel and air are swirled around and making a better mix. On a fuel injected engine there is no benefit at all as the fuel is injected right into the intake just before it enters the combustion chamber.
Look, we go through this about twice a year. It's getting old and I can't see how these things are still being sold. Urn, I know you're trying to look out for our best interests, but sniping with the guy will do no good. Let it go. If the guy would've recieved no response at all he would've been gone by now.
TORNADOES ARE FOR KANSAS!! That is all![?|] [?|] [?|]

but there is no point in telling me to "chill out" for a discussion that ended 2 months ago. since it has been over for 2 months, i think i already chilled out.
honestly, i had forgotten about this thread. HelpSVT, if your still around, sorry for being a jerk.
Ooops!! I didn't realize it was such an old thread. No foul, huh Urn?
