Don't do it. The Saleen Focus is a stock Focus, which is N20 READY, and has a body kit. For more than $25,000. There is a thread going on this already, I haven't figured out how to link to a thread but I beleive its under general car chat, and the thread is titled "I feel let down by Saleen."

What it boils down to:

*N20 READY - capapble of installing nitrous, but none included.
*It has been said that actually installing nitrous will void the warranty.
*Uses the 2.3L engine if I remember correctly, mods are rare for this engine, if not nonexistent.
*25 Grand for a stock Focus with a body kit and N20 ready = paying to have it say SALEEN on the rear bumper.
*Nitrous is frowned upon by law enforcement.
*For that kind of money, you could go forced induction and make more power.

Bottom line: Saleen N20 Focus is BEYOND not worth it. A travesty in my opinion.

I read that thread and happen to agree, the car isn't worth it. That's the bottom line. Buy the body kit and a new focus, you'll have almost the same car, with money in your pocket.

There are others who agree that mods for the 2.3L PZEV are few and far between.
have you had a chance to look at the new focus fanatic magazine?

they did a test of bolt on parts of a 2.3 pzev engine, and got pretty impressive dyno tested HP gains. i do not remember the parts or numbers off hand, and my copy of the magazine is sitting at home. but there are plenty of bolt ons for the pzev that do quite a bit of good. if you would like, i can post up the mods and numbers at work tomorrow, or you can go buy the mag yourself.

if you want to complain about mods few and far between, look at the SPI engine.

p.s. i agree that the saleen focus is not worth the cash, but i just wanted to point out the truth.

NO!

I took the saleen focus for a drive yesterday and it was no different from any other focus. It has 152hp and its mostly looks. They want 24,300 bone dry. I looked into the aftermarket accessories and they want 2200 for sparco seats, it comes with no nitrous, only nitrous ready as in just the injectors. they want 11,200 for the tropical chameleon paint job, 3000 for the dvd system and there's plenty more. you do the math, don't do it.

Buy an SVT!!!!! They are a fantastic car.

As for the Saleen Focus body kit, I can't stand it, that rear wing is just hideous. Even Saleen Mustangs are pretty overrated these days too.

And they all cost waaay too much. SVT Cobras, and the Focus are a much better deal.

SVT is coming up on it.

I take it back, not the biggest fan of that front bumper. I must be confusing it with the RS stuff from europe but yeah, a few performance upgrades but wow, I would say you are seriously paying for the NAME if you buy that....
