you could do the dye but unless its a rear main, it wont show. i dont recall ever seeing a leak above the transmission in mine. It was on the bottom as i dropped the undertray.
Good info, thanks. Yeah that's not a typical spot if it were oil. After cleaning everything, it all looks good, no signs of oil.
