That is the main concern in the discussion, as I don't think that the majority of people want or should have to run without helpers and locking collars in order to achieve their desired ride height. According to the V-Maxx specifications, there should be 40mm of adjustment in the front and 30mm in the rear. This is well over an inch in each end, but when installed without helpers in the front (but with locking collar) and the rear at full-up, there is over 1/2" difference and that difference would be greatly increased by the installation of the helpers.
Idk, I'm just surprised that no one would have mentioned this within the year or two that people have been running them. I don't have much of a choice now that I've bought them, but I would have much rather put that money towards a set of coils that could do what was advertised. For everyone that wants to go full-low and run it year-round (and are willing to run without the locking collar), these can indeed do that. But ultimately I plan on moving to an area that actually gets snow, and having the ability to not be 2" from the ground is what I thought I was purchasing.

Low cars can be driven in the snow no problem. I live in Seattle Wa and i personally drive a 2001 VW Golf. The Girl drives a 2012 Focus SEL sedan. and its in the process of being lowered. *we will get to that in a second* I drive my car @ 22.5" FTG and in a MK4 vw laying frame would be at 21.5" Or 21.25" People debate on this all the time. *stupid argument if you ask me. Air Ride kids are weird...
* But what im getting at is i have about 1"of clearance between the bottom of my car And the ground. Depending on witch side of the argument your on... ;) And i have made many of drives over mountains in the snow. Now im not going to lie its not the funnest thing in the world. but its possible with out a hiccup. AND YOU GUYS ARE LUCKY YOU HAVE VERY LITTLE HANGING BELOW YOUR CAR!

NOW! on to her car. I work at a Ford Dealer ship out here in Seattle... And her car is currently sitting up on a lift waiting for the fronts to go on. Did any one who took out the front locking perches have issues getting them off. I can spin them all the way up then on the very top. They seize. Any one have any advice... I heard people cut them off? Is this true? If so it seems to be the stupidest design ever! But ill do it for low low. Also do people cut out the bumpstops?
