SPX Series

12" 15" 18" & 21"

Features are 100+lbs. quad stack motor with solid pole piece and direct voice coil venting. Ferrite is high y35 grade and steel is low carbon 1008 grade.
Front plate is 1.25" thick.
Baskets are cast aluminum 12/8/6 spoke type modded with water jetted .25" thick 6061-T6 aluminum rings to adapt for 9.675" spiders and allow for longer excursion. These rings are bolted to the basket.

SPX Voice coils are 4" 8 layer flat aluminum 3.125" long windings wound on .008 black anodized aluminum formers.
Temp is rated at 260c (500f)
The coils are internally parallel quad coil run to dual 1.4 ohm revc. Can be made Dual 1/2.

spiders are a custom extreme throw type with very deep rolls made of nomex 9.675" OD and can be stacked for a desired compliance. Standard lead wires are 3 runs of 12 ga per lead.

cones are heavy nonpressed paper with long fiber Kevlar and EROM stitched surrounds. They are reniforced with glass fiber. For exteme applications (only SPL)
