Exhaust T55 cam gear bolt stripped
So, my brother and i were doing my SVT's timing belt, and we got the belt on and went to loosen the gears to adjust the timing. The E18 on the intake side loosened with some presuation, but the damn shallow T55 torx on the exhaust side stripped.
I guess I'm panicking and I have 2 questions:
1. Can the timing be set well this way? It seems like with the VCT at full positive I could still get the crank pin + timing bar in the cams and be OK?
2. What would the best way to remove the bolt, if we HAVE TO remove it. I as thinking either weld a Hex 15mm on, or a screw extractor?
