The outside of the double walled tip was barely warm to the touch if at all after a 30 + minute drive home in traffic.
Functionally everything seems ok at least long enough to decide if I do or do not end up wanting the parts.
Usually I end up caving into what I want for the car, despite my best efforts to calm down and not go wild with it just yet.
It's not so much about protecting the rear valance from melting, but helping the exhaust fit the rear of the car better. Right now, it's just dangling below the valance with no styling to integrate it into the overall look of the car.
Sure, the ST valance may not be functional, but it definitely looks better than what you've currently got going on.
