Hey guys!
The transmission in my Pontiac went out the other night. It wont shift into gear. Cables work and all but I dont care to fix the old one. Its a shitty 3 speed auto with OD. Really robs the power and economy out of that 3.3 v6.
The car already has a spot where I could drop a clutch pedal and cables or what ever I need in it already.
Now I found a 94 Cavalier z24 with a 3.1 with a 5 speed in a junk yard. I just need to know, will it bolt up to the 3.3 in my car? I think these older GM engines all share the same block but they bump up the displacement and bore on each size.
Also aside from cables and the shifter and all that good stuff, would I need to swap out the master cylinder or anything else?
Thanks, Patrick [burnout][wrenchin][driving]
