Hi all,

I just did a compression test on my car because I has been running rough and I know the SPI likes to drop valve seats. I was just wondering what kinda numbers that I should be looking for. Here are my results

1 178
2 178
3 175
4 174

Do these numbers look good? It has 124k miles on it.

Seems healthy to me. The numbers themselves are fine and they're consistent across all 4 cylinders. At that mileage though, I'd get the cylinder head replaced ASAP if you plan to keep the car. I think most people on here who've dropped a valve seat had it happen around 120-150K miles.

I wish I could replace the head, but I was quoted between $600 to $1000. I'm but a poor college student so getting it replaced is out of the question. I believe my O2 sensors need to be replaced at my spark plugs were almost white when I was looking at them today and my CEL is on telling me the same thing. Fingers crossed its all it is.
