The actual gear changing is normally done well before the clutches engage/disengage.
I know but maybe the forks take longer to select gears maybe delaying the clutch. But you are right since its slow from 1st to 2nd as well (both already selected). I guess maybe the eletric motor gets stiffer while really cold.
