Similar tread pattern, not the same tire brand, model and size? There are many more differences to tires than merely the tread pattern. If the tire isn't the exact same brand, model, size and speed rating, then the tires are not matched. Why didn't the auto center match the tires you have? The more you tell me about this place, the more I am seeing you are getting very poor advice from them, if not all out dishonest advice.

Check your receipt and tell me what you were charged for the supposed alignment. Performing a two-wheel/front wheel alignment with a vehicle that requires a four wheel alignment, (which your Focus does), is a total waste of money. The vehicle isn't properly aligned. It's worse than paying for a tune up with a four cylinder engine and only replacing two out of the four spark plugs.

If they have a four wheel alignment machine and they only performed a front wheel alignment, you need to go speak to the head manager with your receipt in hand and politely demand the proper four wheel alignment be completed. If they give you any grief, you can mention that if they don't do the proper job, that your next step will be to contact your State Attorney General's Office and your State Office of Consumer Affairs and do so! As a consumer, you have a lot of rights on your side when dealing with a dishonest/incompetent auto center!

I get so boiling angry when I see people getting ripped off for auto repairs!
