Shifter Bushings? Interesting. Is it suppose to help with the sloppy shifter movement on the MKIs?

If so, there was a How-To thread on fixing the sloppy shifter.

Well, I know there is one for the Getrag, but I don't see a reason why the MTX wouldn't have the same part.

If you follow the shifter cables to the tranny, you will notice at the end there is a plastic square piece that holds it it (if memory serves me right)

The OP of that How-To, showcased photos that all he did was take that plastic piece out, rotated it 90 degrees and re-installed. Since the plastic piece is a perfect square, it rotated easily and went right back in easily. That put his shifter slop back to that new feeling of almost no slop. Nice.

Interesting that those kind of critical pieces are made of plastic. Oh well, it's weight reduction and cost effecient.

If I run into that thread again, I will post it up for you guys ... if that is indeed what you were going for.
