Since this is only a matter of opinion... because technically, NO aftermarket HID kit is legal or recommended... I personally love the 55W kit and my reasons for 'recommending' them are justified to me because:
1 - much better and consistent light output (with A/C ballasts) and 2 - No issues.
That is true, I ran 55w ballast in the Mini's for about 2 years. The only problem I saw was the shrouds would melt and look terrible after some time. Otherwise light output was insane. I don't think I am going to be using 55w for the focus though, and bulbs for 55w (Good brand) seemed harder to find.
