The story that I basically have come to is that the dealer is afraid to do anything about it in fear of getting rejected on their claim to the mothership. I'm going to open a ticket with ford corp and see if they will authorize some resources to get it fixed instead of giving me the run around.
Perhaps it's best not to wait for Ford to redesign the door panels, speaker grills, etc. as it may never happen.
In any case, I wouldn't trust a dealer tech to resolve this problem.
