The part about the Ford service network I really don't get is that if they are paid to fix cars under warranty, why are they so reluctant to do so? Is there an unreasonably small amount of time allowed for diagnosis versus fixing?
I understand they will be eventually found out if they fix things that aren't broken, but why else wouldn't they invest the time in figuring out why a customer's car is misbehaving?
