Hey guys. Just went and looked at a new 2013 focus and noticed the headlights were foggy on the inner corners from the inside. Same with my gf's car after a drive.
Is this a common issue?
No way man. My gf bought and picked up her car today brand new and mine just arrived at the dealership today. I haven't even taken delivery of it. Ford is going to put new headlights in it or they are keeping both cars.
They're not sealed headlights, and if you check the manual, you'll see that some condensation is normal. It evaporates once the lights are on for a few minutes.
Unless there is significant moisture inside (like standing water...) don't worry about it.
There is a good amount of fog and it looks really hazy. I ordered mine with the black pack so they are the titanium headlights. However my gf's are chrome
Just noticed the other day mine do the same thing. I have the black titanium's and they get really hazy inside in the morning. Is it normal for them to fog up on the inside? My last focus i had for 10+ years had vented headlights never fogged up on the inside. I'll mention it to the dealer I guess the next time I get my oil changed.
Yep, and im guaranteeing that it will happen again when it rains and gets cold! Ill be honest i brought mine in to the dealer on my way home and the guy didn't even have to look at it! Just make sure there is no pooling of water!
I also am experiencing condensation in the 'lower-inside' corners of my HID headlight case. Both sides. Going to take it into the dealer today. This is the first time that I noticed condensation persisting over 24 hours.
Same here, in the lower inside corners of the HID and both fog lamp. []
