GPS sticky disk

Hi everybody,
So I just picked up a navigation mount for my new Droid Razr Maxx HD and there's no great place to suction cup it. Right now it's near the driver side pillar but that makes it tough to nicely run a power cable and I'd prefer it in the middle.

Problem with the middle is to have it anywhere near reachable it'd be in the middle of my field of vision. I was thinking about using the included plastic disk (says 3M PE Foam on the back) to attach it right in front of the clock. I'm just worried in a year or two when and if I want to remove the disk there it'll be tough to get the stickyness off of that plastic without ruining it.

Any thoughts? Think I'll have a tough time removing it in a while or will it come off easily enough without damaging anything? Any better way to mount it?
