The Mercedes has already been back to the dealer for issues - they replaced the pulleys and the belt to eliminate a squeaking problem, and had to replace window tracks and other items in the front passenger door. Note that they did this repair without question, and gave a loaner car during this repair.
For the $10k premium above the price of a nicely equipped Focus, they better be nice - but so should the Ford dealers, these machines don't cost peanuts.
My Focus SEL with everything but park assist and nav is one of nicest cars I've owned and is one of my very favorites.
