Explain to me how it would NOT cause wearing of parts if it happens for (at least) 3 minutes EVERY TIME THE CAR IS UNLOCKED. Ford claims it is "the shift motors waking up" what exactly does that mean? Is it mechanical parts moving or some type of relay? Either way something is moving and movement creates wear. I work in the electrical industry and have seen relays burn out pretty quickly from numerous quick operations over an extended period of time, so hopefully it isn't something like this.
Not to mention why is it only SOME vehicles may experience this? If it is a design feature, shouldn't they ALL do it? If some don't make the noise (such as mine) why can't they ALL not make it?
riddle me that.
