Well since the ST-R still weighs approximately 2700 pounds, at first glance it looks like they didn't save a whole lot of weight by dumping all that stuff. Considering that they are starting with an ST that weighs significantly more than a regular Focus (ST curb weight is 3,223 lbs.) it's not bad at all.
