This is the ONLY thing I have found to dislike about the manual trans. I had a 6spd in the RX8, and the Audi has a 6spd (auto) as well. I can't tell you how many times the reverse lockout has saved me on the expressway from shifting into what I thought was 6th out of habit.
A 6th gear would be a VERY welcome addition to the manual trans. Seems like the motor has enough power to pull the car along at speed with a drop to the 2300-2500 range instead of the 2900-3000 range it lives at now on the freeway.
