Air Intake Modification

I'm new here and I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death...but I need info. I'm looking to improve air flow because I can feel this 2012 Focus SE hatchback choking. I really can't believe the stock air feed to the air box is so small. At any rate...I know that one generally gets what one pays for...and that's why I am not averse to buying a name brand CAI kit if that's the best option...but from what I see under the hood it doesn't seen that a typical kit can really get a lot of fresh air.

I am thinking about a Spectre component kit. I want to fashion an inlet and force feed a filter going into the intake. Know what I mean? I had really good results with an Airaid Jr. on my old F-150 and when the air was forced really moved.

HELP!!! I need ideas...drawings...part numbers...anything that will help me do what I'm looking to do. If anyone things what I have in mind can be bettered...please let me know. Thanks Focus Fanatics!
